| My intent is that every glass leaf and petal be a moment of life, woven together like memories. In life, we give flowers because they take us where words fail. I hope that my art will do this. |

Like plants growing upright and true; “Upright Lei’s.” form is upward. The petals, leaves and flowers represent people, places and memories.
|
|
The translucent etched, slumped form behind the lei makes the petals just slightly visible. It creates the sense of remembering through time. As you walk around “Upright Lei” it comes in and out of focus, just as our memories do
